Our Team: Bill Seifert

Bill joined Prism in 1998 and focuses on next-generation network technologies.  He currently serves as a board director for SiGe Semiconductor.  Previously, he served as a board director of DSL.net (IPO), Collation (acquired by IBM), Colubris Networks (acquired by HP ProCurve)  and Telica (acquired by Lucent).

Bill is an accomplished entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in the data communications industry. Prior to joining the firm in 1998, he was the founder and CEO of Agile Networks, Inc., acquired by Lucent Technologies.

Bill also founded and served as CTO of Wellfleet Communications, a networking technologies pioneer, which merged with Synoptics to form Bay Networks.

He was a founding member of Interlan, which produced one of the industry's first successful Ethernet controllers for mini and microcomputer systems. Micom Systems acquired Interlan in 1985.

Bill is an active participant in the Massachusetts Telecommunications Council.

He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. from Michigan State University.
